Düsseldorf - Burgplatz in the Old Town (Panorama) | |
Burgplatz and donjon in the old town and the rear side of the city hall. It was chosen as one of the most beautiful squares in the post-war Germany. It was created during the first expansion of young Düsseldorf. It got its name because it lied once directly in front of the castle. In 1892 its remains were ablated, only the donjon stayed there and now domiciled the shipping museum. The Burgplatz was redesigned in 1995. Program at the Burgplatz Maps |
